One Night Food Trip Returns to the Philippines for Season 2

June 26, 2018

tvN’s One Night Food Trip: International Edition Season 2 returns to the Philippines for their craziest food contest. This time, 2PM’s Nichkun and former U-KISS member Xander Lee will compete against Filipino actresses Ciara Sotto and Danica Sotto-Pingris. One Night Food Trip – International Edition will fly exclusively with Cebu Pacific for the entire second season.

Last June 22, 2018, a press conference for One Night Food Trip was held at City of Dreams Manila. Only chosen media outlets were able to attend the said press conference. I am thankful that kpopchannel.tv was a part of those chosen media outlets and we got to cover the event.

It has been a long time since I last covered a Korean event.

Nichkun and Xander talked about their recent stay in the Philippines. Nichkun’s last visit here in the Philippines was during his Bench Fun Meet, while Xander was just here a few months ago since he was filming for the TV series “My Korean Jagiya.”

Nichkun said that the Philippine’s weather is unpredictable and weird. At first, it has a hot weather and then it will rain hard which made their travel from Pampanga to Manila reach almost 5 hours. Good thing, it was not raining while they were filming.

The two went to Pampanga and Cebu for their food trip. Nichkun mentioned that he loves Filipino’s sisig and his 2PM members will surely love it. He also mentioned about eating balut. He would love to try it again some time but with a less mature one. As they were trying different food, Xander was reminded of the “really good chocolate porridge” which is known as the champorado.

As the two were having fun at Pampanga and Cebu, the cousins – Danica Sotto-Pingris and Ciara Sotto- enjoyed their stay at Coron Palawan. During the interview, the two said that they really differ in terms of taste. Ciara loves to eat spicy food while Danica is a bit not interested with it. But overall, they loved all the food and became even more interested in exploring the Filipino food. They even mentioned that even if they are Filipinos, they still have a lot of Filipino food to try on.

At the end of the press conference, we were given a chance to have a photo with them.
